Music Ministries
A tradition of musical excellence has long been a part of Church of the Master. Children’s choirs, hand bells and hand chimes for all ages, worship team, and chancel choir all minister regularly as part of our worship.
Adult Ministries
Supper Clubs: Are made up of 8-10 people who meet monthly to dine and share in fellowship together. Supper Clubs are assigned randomly in order to create opportunities to meet new people and build relationships throughout the congregation. Seekers Sunday School: Sundays at 10 am in the Wagoner-Hursh Room. This group utilizes a variety of methods for engaging in transformative spiritual exploration. You can expect traditional Bible studies as well as studying theologians and spiritual leaders. This class promotes a shared leadership model with participants taking turns leading the class discussion. No registration required, simply show up as you are to begin expanding and deepening your theological perspectives.
Called to Love: Works to facilitate education and communication around the complex topics of gender identity and sexual orientation. We offer an environment of support and community for LGBTQ+ persons and allies, transforming the church into a fuller expression of Christ’s inclusive love. United Women in Faith circle meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 11am for education, spiritual formation, leadership development and the work of social justice. For more information, contact Kim Hoessly, our local church president of UWF, khoessly@columbus.rr.com or 614-537-8596.

Children’s Ministries
Nursery: Provides loving care to infants and children, six-weeks old through kindergarten. Nursery care is offered for 11am worship on Sunday mornings, from 10:45 am. until approximately 12:15 pm.
Education: Sunday morning children’s education programs are offered during the 11:00 service. About 10-15 minutes into the Worship service, children of any age are invited forward to participate with the Children’s Message, then following this, 3-year-olds through 6th graders will be invited to meet their teachers in the Gathering Space to transition to their classrooms.
Dewdrops (3 years* – Kindergarten)
Children are introduced to the Bible, by being read to from a “storybook Bible” format, following the 3-year lectionary cycle. *3-year-olds attending Dewdrops must be toilet-trained, as there are not appropriate facilities to address diapering needs in this classroom.
Rainbows (Grades 1-3)
Children deepen their understanding of Biblical persons and content by repeating the 3-year lectionary, this time reading a “storybook Bible” for themselves, and occasionally a “children’s translation” Bible with teacher guidance.
U2 (Grades 4-6)
Children begin to explore a more mature understanding of the 3-year lectionary content, by regularly engaging with a standard Bible (simplified translation), and with additional historical and social context.
Thursday Night Music and the Master (M&Ms): M&Ms is a time for children and their families to grow in God’s love, emphasizing MUSIC as an act of service and of praise! Each Thursday from 5 -7pm, we offer activities for young people from birth through high-school. Dinner is included, making it convenient for your whole family to participate in meaningful faith and fellowship!
Youth Ministries
Weekly Youth Faith Development (Grades 7-12): Love God, Grow in Christ, and Live to Serve through a variety of opportunities: Sunday School (10:15 AM), Seasonal Bible Studies, Confirmation, Mission Trips, Seasonal Retreats, Worship Leading Opportunities, Local Serving Opportunities, Youth Special Music, M&Ms Homework and Hang.
Campus Ministries
Church of the Master is uniquely situated to partner with Otterbein University. We offer small groups and worship services for our college students to help them connect with each other and God. Contact Pastor Lucy Kelly, Associate Pastor/Director of Campus Ministries.
Young Adult Ministries
