Love, Joy, Peace...
Church of the Master Breakthrough Prayer
God of renewal and boundless possibilities, Open our eyes, hearts, and minds to reveal the big dreams you have for Church of the Master and me. Come, Holy Spirit, inspire and encourage us to love, grow, and serve as we draw our circle wide.
Dear Church Family,

This week, I’ve found myself admiring the vibrant, changing leaves everywhere I go. This morning, I took a walk in my neighborhood and gathered some bright magenta leaves from a nearby tree. These beautiful autumn days are fleeting, and soon the trees will stand bare. I encourage you to step outside and experience the beauty of God’s creation, even if only for a few moments.

I am so proud to serve a church that offers opportunities for service, events that nurture spiritual growth, community support, and mental health awareness. Below are some opportunities for you to learn, grow in your faith, enjoy the gift of music, and serve together in our community.

Laundry Ministry
Join us on the last Friday of the month at Sunlight Cleaners, where we meet families referred by WARM. We offer fellowship and help with laundry costs. We need 8-10 volunteers (ages 12 and up) for shifts from 12:00–2:00 PM and 3:30–5:30 PM.

Sylvia Vance Concert
I’m excited to announce our next Sylvia Vance Concert, which will take place this Sunday, October 27, at 4:00 PM in the Gathering Space. In a cozy coffeehouse-style setting, Jenny Morgan will perform beautiful music on the guitar, and we’ll enjoy coffee and baked goods together. Invite your friends and family to this intimate and lovely concert.

WARM Workday
On Saturday, November 2, from 10:00 AM to noon, we’ll be sorting food donations at our local food pantry. This fun mission activity is open to all ages (5 and up). Join fellow Church of the Master members at 150 Heatherdown Dr., Westerville, OH. Please RSVP by contacting Tiffany McGinnis at tifft_23@hotmail.com.

Mental Health Conversations:
On Sunday, November 3, at 6:00 PM, we’ll host a presentation by NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness): “In Your Own Voice.” Through personal stories, we’ll learn what it’s like to live with a mental health condition, and you’ll have the chance to ask questions. Let’s work together to end the stigma around mental illness, one conversation at a time.

At the same time, we’ll be offering a youth presentation called “Ending the Silence,” designed for middle and high school students. The reality is that 1 in 5 kids experiences a mental health condition, and only 20% get the help they need. This session will cover important signs, facts, and statistics. Please encourage your youth to attend this vital conversation.

Visitation Team Training
If you’d like to serve on a visitation team to care for those who are homebound, a brief training session will be held on Sunday, November 3, at 12:15 PM in the chapel. Please respond to this email if you're interested.

Transportation Ministry
We are still seeking volunteers for our Transportation Ministry Team, which involves picking up or dropping off members who live at Westerwood. This is a once-a-month commitment. If you’d like to serve, please respond to this email.

I pray you find a way to serve and nurture your faith in any of the above ways.

Peace and love to you all,
Pastor Katya
